Virgin Of Chiquinquira
The story goes that a poor old washerwoman resident of a poor neighborhood of Nueva Zamora de Maracaibo called El Saladillo, in the province of Venezuela fulfilled his task on the shores of Lake Coquivacoa when a board came to their hands, without any particularity the make a singular, but apparently it was picked up by giving the utility the washer lid to the jar of water. While the old woman seemed to recognize in the planchette very blurry image of religious reverence and perhaps put it on one wall. On Tuesday November 18, 1709 was absorbed in her to do, so they paid no attention to a series of shots that were heard in the wall where hung the picture. The blows were heard again, but she did not move. However, the third time, went strangely to where came the shock and surprise in the small panel saw clearly shows the image of the Virgin of Chiquinquirá and emerged a bright light. The surprise of this phenomenon led to the street where he began to shout: "Miracle, miracle," and with this began the great devotion of Zulia to the Mother of the physical part of Jesus. The picture was presumably released as a spoil in waters of the sea, a pirate plunder of the then in the Viceroyalty of New Granada (now Colombia) and it is unknown how long he could be floating in the sea to reach the Coquivacoa Lagoon (now Lake Maracaibo). The gaze of the Virgin in the image is given to the left, as if to assume that makes its way to the then province of Venezuela, becoming since then the "undocumented" most dear in this country, perhaps foreshadowing the great exodus of Colombians that have come to Venezuela. After prodigy similar to that in the Viceroyalty neighbor wanted to transfer the image to the Cathedral of Nueva Zamora de Maracaibo and in fact succeeded in doing to a certain section of the vicinity of the temple, but arrival at a given location the image began to be heavy in the extreme, to the point that had to lower it and leave it on the ground, but after that could be raised again. In the circumstances one of the villagers came to him that perhaps the providence wanted the picture is not in the temple, along with the aristocrats (the wealthy of the time) but the chapel currently under construction in San John of God (more in line with the most deprived) to the west of the city. The suggestion was taken into account and surprisingly the image regained its original weight and honors came to the said chapel, now a Minor Basilica dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquirá and San Juan de Dios, which is venerated ever since.
Festive season, framed in the celebration of the exhibition, alongside the formal schedule and religious activities are popular events and mass according to the beliefs of the faithful. November 18 All Maracaibo and Zulia state in general, have been celebrating the feast of the Chinita, as he is affectionately called in the country, when it has become since then, on the occasion of celebrations for the faithful of people of Zulia and its surroundings. With the illumination of the Bella Vista Avenue, to the sound of bagpipes (music originated in the colonial era and today is largely dedicated to the celebration of the feasts of the Virgin and protests from the people of Zulia), fireworks light up the sky Maracaibo, chimbangueles (music of drums) that resound, orchestral bands party is a framework, accompanying the Virgin in her journey through the streets where it says the miracle of renewal, as also happened in Chiquinquirá, Colombia .
Devotion to the Virgin of the Rosary of Chiquinquirá is very large in the city of Maracaibo and attributed the same multiplicity of favors, some of the most striking have been exalted in beautiful stained glass windows in the same Basilica.
The Virgin of the Rosary of Chiquinquirá is the formal employer of the city of Maracaibo, Zulia State and the National Guard of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, was crowned canonically with offerings of gold with precious and semiprecious stones such as rubies, sapphires and emeralds has given his people from the colony. This crown is supported by four silver angels. Hispanic At the time table was covered in an embossed edges with gold adornments on the image as crowns for the Virgin and Child, the aura, etc, which have been mostly removed except for the crown. It has the image with a rod of gold, sapphires and emeralds, the image also has a crown made of stones called "Tumas" gift of ethnic guajira.
The image of Our Lady of the Rosary Chiquinquirá has moved several times to multiple sites, one of the most memorable was when he visited the capital of the Republic and more frequently has been paraded through the different parishes of Zulia state, moving in boats on the lake and rivers, land vehicles and helicopters. Today these visits continue but using a replica of the original image backup.
The celebrations in honor of the Virgen del Rosario de Chiquinquirá, ceased to be the modest festivities of the past to acquire international festival features highly complex confluence of popular and religious events, all gathered under the name gives the International Fair Chinita.
It made the famous bullfights, dancing in public and private sites in the city, sunrise pipers, baseball games, the grand gala of beauty (beauty contest that lets you choose the sovereign to be the queen of the fair throughout the year, broadcast by Venevision through its sensational Saturday program), the parade of floats and also many other activities.
On 18 November is a beautiful day in which all Maracaibo (Maracaibo natural) make it a tribute to the Virgen de Chiquinquirá. That day is known and celebrated as (La Feria De La Chinita) and is celebrated with much enthusiasm, joy, faith and fidelity by every inhabitant of the city. At the same time develops the game of baseball Cup Chinita, very popular sport for the fans of Zulia, which meets (after a long night of partying) to give encouragement and support of the Eagles baseball team of Zulia. The next week is the procession of the Aurora and the image she wanders from the Basilica at 3.00 am, to get along with his people on the street. Finally, on Sunday following image is restored to his dressing room.

Hunger And Poverty
Hunger And Poverty
We often hear about people’s desire to solve world hunger, or to be able to feed the world and help alleviate the suffering associated with it.
However, meaningful long-term alleviation to hunger is rooted in the alleviation of poverty, as poverty leads to hunger. World hunger is a terrible symptom of world poverty. If efforts are only directed at providing food, or improving food production or distribution, then the structural root causes that create hunger, poverty and dependency would still remain. And so while continuous effort, resources and energies are deployed to relieve hunger through these technical measures, the political causes require political solutions as well.
Hunger and global poverty
1.- There are many inter-related issues causing hunger, which are related to economics and other factors that cause poverty. They include land rights and ownership, diversion of land use to non-productive use, increasing emphasis on export-oriented agriculture, inefficient agricultural practices, war, famine, drought, over-fishing, poor crop yields, etc. This section introduces some of these issues.
2.- Solving world hunger in the conventional sense (of providing/growing more food etc) will not tackle poverty that leads to hunger in the first place. Further, there is a risk of continuing the poverty and dependency without realizing it, because the act of attempting to provide more food etc can appear so altruistic in motive. To solve world hunger in the long run, poverty alleviation is required.
3.-
The food scarcity part of the argument in the population debate is an interesting one -- people are hungry not because the population is growing so fast that food is becoming scarce, but because people cannot afford it. Food may be scarce, but it is international trade, economic policies and the control of land that have lead to immense poverty and hunger and therefore less access to food, not food scarcity due to over population.
4.- Food and agriculture goes to the heart of our civilizations. Religions, cultures and even modern civilization have food and agriculture at their core. For an issue that goes to the heart of humanity it also has its ugly side.
This issue explores topics ranging from the global food crisis of 2008, to issues of food aid, world hunger, food dumping and wasteful agriculture such as growing tobacco, sugar, beef, and more.

1. Follow a routine, take your food at the same times each day. Babies are fed at a certain time, the mother does not wait for the baby breaks into tears when he is hungry then feed him, right? If you wait till you "hungry" eat inadequate amounts which makes you gain weight, and what is worse, if you let your body express the feeling of "hunger," eat the first thing you find in the cupboard or in store the corner.

Causes of Poverty
Poverty is the state for the majority of the world’s people and nations.
Why is this? Is it enough to blame poor people for their own
predicament? Have they been lazy, made poor decisions, and been solely
responsible for their plight? What about their governments? Have they
pursued policies that actually harm successful development? Such causes
of poverty and inequality are no doubt real. But deeper and more global
causes of poverty are often less discussed.
Recommendations To Prevent Hunger
2. Schedule your meals with 2 to 4 hours apart and no more, so you will not get to have the feeling of "hunger."
3. Do not skip breakfast. If you're in a hurry every morning, you can prepare something for the night, and you heat it in the mornings only and packed to go and eat it at the first chance you get.
4. Get used to prepare a fruit or vegetable in a container to carry, to eat between meals. Remember if you let go more than 4 hours without food, your body will go into a phase of "hunger" and know the consequences.
5. Drink 8 glasses of water, distributed throughout the day. Do not try to drink a liter of a milestone for not taking water in the following hours. All it will feel bloated and run around after a bath.
6. Detects what is the most likely time to get something to eat. At 11 in the morning? At 5 o'clock? Record the time when your body asks for food generally and since have well identified, plan an activity at that time. Activity than watching TV, eh? Must be some activity that keeps you busy with your hands well and preferably have your entire body busy.

Once upon a time there was a dear little girl who was loved by every one who looked at her, but most of all by her grandmother, and there was nothing that she would not have given to the child.
Once she gave her a little cap of red velvet, which suited her so well that she would never wear anything else. So she was always called Little Red Riding Hood.
One day her mother said to her, "Come, Little Red Riding Hood, here is a piece of cake and a bottle of wine. Take them to your grandmother, she is ill and weak, and they will do her good. Set out before it gets hot, and when you are going, walk nicely and quietly and do not run off the path, or you may fall and break the bottle, and then your grandmother will get nothing. And when you go into her room, don't forget to say, good-morning, and don't peep into every corner before you do it." I will take great care, said Little Red Riding Hood to her mother, and left
The grandmother lived out in the wood, half a league from the village, and just as Little Red Riding Hood entered the wood, a wolf met her. Little Red Riding Hood did not know what a wicked creature he was, and was not at all afraid of him.
"Good-day, Little Red Riding Hood," said he.
"Thank you kindly, wolf."
"Whither away so early, Little Red Riding Hood?"
"To my grandmother's."
"What have you got in your apron?"
"Cake and wine. Yesterday was baking-day, so poor sick grandmother is to have something good, to make her stronger."
"Where does your grandmother live, Little Red Riding Hood?"
"A good quarter of a league farther on in the wood. Her house stands under the three large oak-trees. You surely must know it," replied Little Red Riding Hood.
The wolf thought to himself, "What a tender young creature. She will be better to eat than the old woman. I must act carefully." So he walked for a short time by the side of Little Red Riding Hood, and then he said, "See Little Red Riding Hood, how pretty the flowers are about here — why do you not look around? I believe, too, that you do not hear how sweetly the little birds are singing; you walk gravely along as if you were going to school, while everything else out here in the wood is very merry.”
Little Red Riding Hood raised her eyes, and when she saw the sunbeams dancing here and there through the trees, and pretty flowers growing everywhere, she thought, 'Suppose I take grandmother a rose. That would please her too. It is so early in the day that I shall still get there in good time.' And so she ran from the path into the wood to look for a rose.

Meanwhile the wolf ran straight to the grandmother's house and knocked at the door.
"Who is there?"
"Little Red Riding Hood," replied the wolf. "I am bringing cake and wine. Open the door."
"Lift the latch," called out the grandmother, "I am too weak, and cannot get up."

The wolf lifted the latch, the door sprang open, and without saying a word he went straight to the grandmother's bed, and devoured her. Then he put on her clothes, dressed himself in her cap, laid himself in bed. Little Red Riding Hood, however, had been running about picking roses, and when she had gathered so many that she could carry no more, she remembered her grandmother, and set out on the way to her.
She was surprised to find the cottage-door standing open, and when she went into the room, she had such a strange feeling that she said to herself, 'Oh dear, how uneasy I feel to-day, and at other times I like being with grandmother so much.' She called out, "Good morning," but received no answer. So she went to the bed. There lay her grandmother.
"Oh, grandmother," she said, "what big ears you have."
"The better to hear you with, my child," was the reply.
"But, grandmother, what big eyes you have," she said.
"The better to see you with, my dear."
"But, grandmother, what large hands you have."
"The better to hug you with."
"Oh, but, grandmother, what a terrible big mouth you have."
"The better to eat you with."
And scarcely had the wolf said this, he was out of bed and swallowed up Little Red Riding Hood.

When the wolf had appeased his appetite, he lay down again in the bed, fell asleep and began to snore very loud. A huntsman was just passing the house, and thought to himself, 'How the old woman is snoring. I must just see if she wants anything.' So he went into the room, and when he came to the bed, he saw that the wolf was lying in it. "Do I find you here, you old sinner," said he. "I have long sought you." Then just as he was going to fire at him, it occurred to him that the wolf might have devoured the grandmother, and that she might still be saved, so he did not fire, but took a pair of scissors, and began to cut open the stomach of the sleeping wolf.
When he had made two snips, he saw the Little Red Riding Hood, and then he made two snips more, and the little girl sprang out, crying, "Ah, how frightened I have been. How dark it was inside the wolf."
And after that the aged grandmother came out alive also, but scarcely able to breathe. Little Red Riding Hood, however, quickly fetched great stones with which they filled the wolf's belly, and when he awoke, he wanted to run away, but the stones were so heavy that he collapsed at once, and fell dead.
